If you are reading this you must have an interest in youth. Well, here at WBC we do too! Many say the youth are tomorrow's leaders; may I say, I believe they can be today’s. At WBC we have a high-energy youth group called dV8, which comes from Romans 12:2, in which we try to bring teens face-to-face with their world while teaching how to live holy, separated lives, Gods way. God’s way is a process:

GATHER - Invite friends and participate in worship

GROW- Bible teaching and small groups

GIVE - Time, talents and treasures

GO - Actively sharing our faith

As a whole, people are looking for something real in life, a constant. I would like a chance to introduce you to Him. His name is Jesus Christ. The Bible shows we can not, but God can. Matthew 19:26 says, “with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." The truth we get from this verse gives us a purpose and a reason to succeed in our lives. We are preparing today’s youth to be winners in the cause of Christ.

One might ask, with all this concentration and teaching, where is the fun? DV8 is a time of celebration centered on Jesus. John 10:10 says, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." We have more fun than anyone...because where there is Jesus, there is forgiveness and therefore no guilt. It is fun without negative consequences; fun that leaves lasting impressions in our hearts and minds. If it is not fun, we’re probably not interested!
